The Anchorage Bahá'í Center offers Firesides for those seeking more information about the Bahá'í Faith in a home environment, where interaction and questions about the Bahá'í Faith is conducted.

These meetings (Firesides) are held every Thursday at 7:30 pm. at the Anchorage Bahá'í Center located at 1207 E. 74th (see map for details)

Some of the Teachings of the Baha'i Faith

Unity of God
"Regard thou the one true God as One Who is apart from, and immeasurably exalted, all created things. The whole universe reflecteth His glory, while He is Himself independent of, and transendeth His creatures... All existence is dependent upon Him, and from Him is derived the source of the sustenance of all things."

Unity of Religions
"...these foundations of the Religion of God, which are spiritual and which are the virtues of humanity, cannot be abrogated; they are irremovable and eternal, and are renewed in the cycle of every Prophet."

"Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute."

Unity of Humanity
"The world of humanity is like a garden and various races are the flowers which constitutes its adornment and decoration... The very fact that there is difference and variety lends charm to the garden. If all (the flowers) were of the same color, the effect would be monotonous and depressing..."

The Power of Prayer
1 O Thou kind Lord! Thou hast created all humanity from the same stock. Thou hast decreed that all shall belong to the same household. In Thy Holy Presence they are all Thy servants, and all mankind are sheltered beneath Thy Tabernacle; all have gathered together at Thy Table of Bounty; all are illumined through the light of Thy Providence.

2 O God! Thou art kind to all, Thou hast provided for all, dost shelter all, conferrest life upon all. Thou hast endowed each and all with talents and faculties, and all are submerged in the Ocean of Thy Mercy.

3 O Thou kind Lord! Unite all. Let the religions agree and make the nations one, so that they may see each other as one family and the whole earth as one home. May they all live together in perfect harmony.
